Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (Akenerji) is a Turkey-based company engaged in the power and steam generation. It also makes investments in the renewable energy sector. The activities of the Company’s affiliates include generating, transmitting, distributing, purchasing and selling electric energy, as well as establishing facilities for that purpose. As of June 20, 2012, the Company had such power plants, as Cerkezkoy, Bozuyuk, Izmir-Kemalpasa, Ayyildiz WPP, Akocak HEPP, Uluabat HEPP, Bulam HEPP, Feke II HEPP, Burc HEPP, Feke I HES and Himmetli HES. As of October 1, 2012, its three largest shareholders were Cez a.s. (37.36%), Akkok Sanayi Yatirim ve Gelistirme A.S. (20.43%) and Akarsu Enerji Yatirimlari Sanayi A.S. (16.93%). It is a member of the Akkok Group of Companies.
