Norway's Aker Carbon Capture ASA said Wednesday that it will collaborate with Microsoft Corp. to offer technology and services in the carbon-capture, utilization and storage market.

The carbon-tech company said that with Microsoft it will demonstrate the full value chain of carbon reduction and removal, using its carbon-capture, utilization and storage technology and Microsoft's digital capabilities to provide traceability and data.

"Collaboration is the key to success and a prerequisite for reaching net zero," said Aker Carbon Capture Chief Executive Valborg Lundegaard.

"By fully using the digital capabilities and domain expertise of our two companies we can support industrial emitters to take action and accelerate the deployment of carbon capture," she said.
