Profit before tax was INR 670.7 million compared with INR 965.4 million a year ago. For the six months, the company's net sales (net of excise duty) were INR 15,107.0 million compared with INR 13,966.3 million a year ago. Profit from operations before other income, finance costs and exceptional items was INR 1,406.6 million compared with INR 1,043.2 million a year ago. Profit before tax was INR 1,636.1 million compared with INR 1,234.4 million a year ago. Net profit was INR 1,058.5 million or INR 22.68 per basic and diluted share compared with INR 818.6 million or INR 17.54 per basic and diluted share a year ago.
