The winners of the eighth Global Climate Change Photography Awards, organized by Alarko Carrier determined to draw attention to the effects of climate change on our world and the environment we live in, as one of the most important problems of the age, are now named. Nearly 1000 submissions were sent to participate in the awards, through Instagram and Twitter using the #Küreseliklim2021 tag.

Then, in the first stage, top 50 submissions were chosen by popular vote. Then the jury chose the 12 most successful photos from among the 50. The jury was composed of Journalist and Photographer Adem Meleke, Documentary Producer and Photo Journalist Coşkun Aral, Photographer Dilan Bozyel, Photo Editor and Photo Journalist of Milliyet Daily Ercan Arslan, and Photographer Mehmet Turgut, as well as Tema Foundation's General Manager Başak Yalvaç Özçağdaş, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alarko Carrier Niv Garih, and Advertising Agency Serdesin's President Serhat Bayram. The owners of the 12 photos named by the jury are entitled to truly special rewards by Alarko Carrier.

Ömer Faruk Güler, who got the top spot upon the review of the jury is now entitled to Toshiba HAORI 13,000 BTU/h A/C. Mehtap Akbaş Çiftci, whose photo ranked second, won an iPhone 12 mobile phone, whereas Fazilet Ecemiş Yılmaz, who ranked third, won Canon EOS M50 Mark II BK Photo Camera Vlogger Kit. Alev Ünal, Şevki Karaca, and Mehmet Bedir, who got the fourth, fifth, and sixth places respectively won Fujifilm Instax Mini 11 Bundle Box. Serhat Yılmazer, Ramazan Çırakoğlu, Deniz Nida Şener, Tahir Yangın, Dilek Aşkın, and Münevver Ulusoywho ranked seventh to twelfth in the awards won TRY 500 worth of Gift Certificates from Decathlon. Moreover, all winners named in top 12 won National Geographic Magazine Subscription for 12 months.
