ALBARAKA TÜRK HAS BEEN THE BANK ISSUING
THE MOST LEASING CERTIFICATES
According to the data of the Participation Banks Association of Turkey (TKBB), the lease certificates issued by participation banks reached a total volume of TRY 96.9 billion in 2021. In the sector, which grew by 79% compared to 2020, Albaraka Türk took the biggest share with 23%. Stating that the issuance of lease certificates will continue to be at the forefront this year, Albaraka Türk Deputy General Manager Malek K. Temsah announced that they will also act as an intermediary in the issuance of corporate companies' lease certificates.
Continuing its goal of being the best participation bank in the world, Albaraka Türk became the bank that issued the most lease certificates among the Participation Banks, by meeting 23% of the lease certificates realized in the sector. Regarding the lease certificates, whose investor base is expanding day by day in Turkey, according to the data of the Participation Banks Association of Turkey (TKBB), the lease certificates issued by participation banks reached a total volume of TRY 96.9 billion in 2021. Making an assessment on the subject, Albaraka Türk Deputy General Manager Malek K. Temsah said that; "We see that lease certificates come to the forefront in this period when investors who want to avoid risk due to the ongoing fluctuations in the financial markets are in search of more reliable and liquid investment instruments. This demand for
lease certificates has spread throughout the sector, increasing the amount and volume of issuance. As Albaraka Türk, we've reached more than 5 thousand customers with lease certificates this year. We provide our customers to access to lease certificates easily with affordable pricing, different maturity alternatives, second-hand market buying and selling, and the opportunity to make transactions through internet banking for our expanding customer base. Thus, we observe a significant increase in the favor and demand of our customers for lease certificates every year."
"We will mediate the lease certificates of corporate companies"
Malek K. Temsah stated that they plan to continue the success they achieved in lease certificates with the Value Asset Leasing Company, which started its activities in 2020, by mediating the lease certificates of corporate companies, and added that; "As Albaraka Türk, we aim to carry out our first brokerage operation for lease certificate in this field with one of Turkey's leading companies in 2022. We expect the interest in lease certificates, which constitute an important part of the increasing interest in capital markets, to continue in 2022."
