Abu Dhabi, 24 March 2014: Aldar Properties PJSC ('Aldar') has experienced strong demand for residential units at its alghadeer residential development, with 100 units sold in the last six weeks, as residents are attracted by easy access to both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Only 100 villas, townhouses and apartments remain for sale at the 2,130-unit development, located on the border of Abu Dhabi and Dubai, adjacent to the EXPO 2020 site and near the new Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD), with the majority having been sold when the project was originally launched.

The development, which is about 45 minutes' drive from Abu Dhabi city and 25 minutes from Dubai, was completed last year, and residents have started to move in. Nearly 100 families have moved into alghadeer since the process of handing over units at the development began six weeks ago.

"We have seen strong demand, in both sales and leasing, at alghadeer because of the quality of the development and the unique location for families who want easy access to both Abu Dhabi and Dubai," said Paul Middleton, Executive Director, Commercial, at Aldar Properties.

"With KIZAD gaining momentum, the Expo 2020 site and the Dubai World Central Al Maktoum International Airport only minutes away, this area will continue to experience strong economic activityin the coming years."

A master-planned community, alghadeer will provide a range of facilities including family pools, clubhouses, and fully equipped gymnasiums, as well as a retail precinct. The development offers a variety of residential options, including studios, one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, townhouses and villas.
