ALSC Announces Changes to the Board of Directors

Alliance Semiconductor Corporation  (ALSC) announces that it has added Steven D. Scheiwe and Eric Fangmann to ALSC's Board of Directors. In addition, Alan B. Howe, an existing director, has been elected Chairman.
Mr. Steven D. Scheiwe, is President of Ontrac Advisors, Inc., a provider of analysis and business management services, and is an accomplished 24-year veteran of the telecom, wireless, paging, and cable industries. At Ontrac, he works as a consultant advising private equity firms, private and public companies and other investors of distressed businesses and corporate debt issues. Prior to founding Ontrac in 2001, Mr. Scheiwe served as CEO and founding management member of Teletrac where he led a major strategic and financial restructuring.

Mr. Scheiwe began his tenure at Teletrac in 1995 as General Counsel and Secretary. Prior to this, from 1988 to 1995, he was a co-founder, General Counsel and Secretary of Premiere Page, Inc., a radio paging business, which completed an IPO in 1993 and merged with Arch Wireless in late 1994. Mr. Scheiwe also served as Senior Legal Counsel and Midwest Office Managing Director, Cable Operations at Hardesty, Puckett, Queen & Co., a national business brokerage operation specializing in cable television systems, where he managed day-to-day operations and was central to the completion of numerous cable systems transactions representing nearly $2 billion over two years.
Mr. Scheiwe serves on the boards of directors of Xstelos Holdings, Inc., WMI Holding Corp., Myrexis, Inc., Strausbaugh and is Chairman of Hancock Fabrics Inc., a specialty retailer of fabrics, home textiles and sewing products. He received a B.A. from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and a J.D. with Honors from the Washburn University School of Law.
Mr. Eric Fangmann has been the Chief Financial Officer for Lloyd I. Miller, III, since June 2011. Mr. Fangmann is also the Acting President and Acting Chief Financial Officer for Pharmos Corporation, a pharmaceutical company, since 2012. Prior to that time, Mr. Fangmann was an independent accounting and finance consultant who was principally engaged by either publically traded or privately held entities to assist in independent analysis or agreed upon procedures. From 2005 to 2010, Mr. Fangmann served as Executive Vice President Technology of Frontera Investment, Inc., a publically traded company. Prior to that, Mr. Fangmann has served principally in senior management accounting and finance functions for both public and private entities such as The Upper Deck Company, LLC, PriceSmart, Inc. and Teletrac, Inc. From 1992 to 1996, Mr. Fangmann worked in the audit division of Arthur Andersen. Mr. Fangmann holds a B.S. in Accountancy - Cum Laude from the University of Missouri, Columbia.

Mr. Alan B. Howe has served as a director of ALSC since 2006.  He has served as the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Broadband Initiatives LLC, a boutique corporate advisory and consulting firm, since 2001.  Currently, he also has a consulting arrangement as Interim Chief Executive Officer at Sunrise Telecom, Inc.  since August 2012.  Sunrise sold all of its operating assets in June of 2013.  He served as Vice President of Strategic and Wireless Business Development for Covad Communications, Inc., a national broadband telecommunications company from May 2005 to October 2008.  He served as CFO and Vice President of Corporate Development for Teletrac, Inc.  from April 1995 to April 2001.  Previously, he held various executive management positions for Sprint PCS, and Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company.  He is currently a board member and Vice Chairman of Selectica, Inc. and serves on the public boards of Qualstar and Data I/O and on a number of private boards.  He has a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Indiana University and a Bachelors of Science - Business Administration and Marketing from University of Illinois.
