ALPEK, S.A.B. de C.V. (BMV:ALPEK A) agreed to acquire Expandable Styrenics Business from NOVA Chemicals Corporation on October 19, 2020. NOVA Chemicals’ expandable styrenics business consists of two product lines, expandable polystyrene and ARCEL® resin, with manufacturing facilities in Pennsylvania and Ohio, along with commercial operations in Asia. The transaction is expected to close in fourth quarter of 2020. TD Securities Inc. acted as financial advisor to NOVA Chemicals Corporation in the transaction.
