Hoja membretada ALSEA REPORTS SIGNING THE CONTRACT FOR THE EXCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT AND OPERATION OF THE CHILI'S BRAND IN CHILE

Mexico City, June 7, 2016. Alsea, S.A.B. de C.V. (BMV: ALSEA *) the leading operator of Quick Service Restaurants, Coffee Shops, Casual and Family Dining establishments in Latin America and Spain, reports the signing of an exclusive development contract to operate and develop Chili's restaurants in Chile. With this development contract, Alsea agrees to have a minimum of 15 Chili's units operating in the South American country over a period of ten years. At the end of the first quarter of 2016, Alsea had 53 restaurants of this brand operating in Mexico.

As a consequence of the excellent results obtained with the Chili's brand in Mexico and the solid experience of Alsea in other Latin American markets, a deal was completed to develop exclusively the brand throughout the Chilean territory, country in which Alsea currently operates 118 units of its different formats, supported by more than 2,400 employees.

Chili's is a leading brand in the Casual Dining segment in the United States, with more than 1,250 restaurants in operation and more than 330 units worldwide.

Fabian Gosselin, CEO of Alsea International said: "This agreement reaffirms our expansion strategy in Latin America, a region that we believe has a high growth potential for our leading Casual Dining brands. We expect the opening of the first unit to be during the second half of the current year."
