Alstom has announced that its investments in Poland will reach PLN 487 million (nearly €115m) between 2022 and 2027 to develop its sites in Chorzów, Wrocław and Nadarzyn.
320 million zlotys (€75m) have already been committed, notably for a new aluminum welding line in Wroclaw.
In 2024, a 10,000 m² hall was inaugurated in Swietochlowice to produce specialized components.
By 2027, an additional 170 million zlotys (US$40m) will be invested in Chorzów, with the construction of three new halls to produce Coradia Stream and Coradia Max trains for European customers, including Denmark, Romania, Bulgaria, and Germany. More than 200 units are involved.
