Alstom announced on Wednesday that it had won a four-billion-euro contract to supply and maintain 90 suburban trains for the Cologne rail network (Germany).

In a press release, the French equipment supplier emphasized that the agreement with the S-Bahn network is "one of the largest contracts ever awarded in Germany for urban mobility solutions".

It includes the delivery of 90 'Adessia Stream' trains and their associated maintenance for a period of 34 years.

On the stock exchange, Alstom's share price lost not far from 2% on Wednesday morning, following the publication last night of results for the first quarter of 2024/2025, which analysts deemed 'a little weak', particularly in terms of orders.
