Alstom: new signalling system in South London

Alstom announces the commissioning of a new signalling system in South London to improve the reliability of journeys to and from Victoria station.

This system, Smartlock Interlocking, controlled by the MCS-I station, enables remote control of signaling via the Three Bridges center.

Alstom installed 23 km of new cables and 61 signals to modernize the network.

Lucy McAuliffe, Director of Network Rail Sussex, believes the upgrade will reduce delays and improve performance on this vital line.
