Aluminum Corp. of China Ltd.'s net profit soared in the third quarter, helped by higher product prices that contributed to a steep jump in revenue.

The alumina producer, better known as Chalco, posted a net profit of 2.23 billion yuan ($349.4 million) for July-September, up from CNY416.1 million a year earlier, it said late Tuesday.

Revenue in the quarter rose 51% to CNY74.19 billion.

For the first nine months of the year, output of alumina rose 13% from a year earlier while export of self-produced alumina rose 30%, Chalco said.
