Amazon Web Service today announced plans to invest $230 million in startups around the world to accelerate the creation of generative AI applications.

This will include mentoring and training for startups to deepen their use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies.

Part of this new commitment will fund the second cohort of the 'AWS Generative AI Accelerator', a program that provides hands-on expertise and up to $1 million in credits to each of the first 80 startups using generative AI to solve complex problems.

Amazon notes that applications for the 'AWS Generative AI Accelerator' are open today and will be accepted until July 19.
