Buying consumers prefer to see videos of it before they buy a product. Amazon is adding a free video maker to its advertising service.

Retailers, brands and manufacturers trading on Amazon will soon have a new tool for advertising on the e-commerce platform.

They need only feed a few product photos to an AI to get an applicable, simple product video. They can then distribute this commercial, for a fee of course, on Amazon toward intended audiences.

For now, this feature is in beta and therefore available to a small user base in the U.S. that likes to experiment with novelties.

Currently, no other trading platform offers such an advanced advertising option. Unlike, say, a Bol in the Netherlands, Amazon has an immense capacity of developers, data centers and AI capability and knowledge.

Large advertisers realize cost advantages with this type of service because they need to use fewer creative agencies, or none at all, to create campaign media. A company like Klarna, for example, saves millions of euros on an annual basis this way.
