Amazon.com Inc. said Tuesday it is beginning two new pharmacy offerings to deliver prescription medications to its customers.

The online retailer said Amazon Pharmacy, a new store on its website, allows customers to complete an entire pharmacy transaction through the Amazon App. Customers will use a secure pharmacy profile, allowing them to add insurance information, manage prescriptions and choose payment options. Prime members receive unlimited, free two-day delivery on orders from Amazon Pharmacy included with their membership, the company said.

Amazon also said Prime members can save on medications when paying without insurance at Amazon Pharmacy and at more than 50,000 other participating pharmacies across the U.S. The benefit saves members up to 80% off generic and 40% off brand-name medications when paying without insurance, it said.

Customers will be able to add insurance information, and allow new or existing prescriptions to be sent directly to Amazon Pharmacy to be filled, the company said.
