(Alliance News) - PostePay, part of the Poste Italiane Spa group, and Amazon Inc are strengthening their partnership to improve the online shopping experience.
As Milano Finanza explained Thursday, the agreement introduces new features, such as instant reloads during the transaction and automatic reload thresholds to prevent payments from failing due to insufficient availability on the card.
PostePay, with more than 30 million cards issued, 13.1 million digital wallets and transactions worth EUR63.00 billion, including EUR20.00 billion in e-commerce, dominates the digital payments sector in Italy with 30 percent of online purchases made through its cards.
The company also diversified its offerings to include telephone and energy services, with 650 thousand contracts for electricity and gas signed by September.
