In 2021, we have innovated our packaging to use less materials, use more recycled content, eliminate problematic materials, lower the carbon footprint, and ensure our products have a better end of life to prevent packaging waste. Some examples of our achievements include:

• Over the last two years our use of recycled resin has almost doubled and we expect the same increase to happen in the next 12 to 18 months.
• We have launched and commercialized several new recycle-ready product platforms including the polymer-based AmLite and AmPrima and paper-based Matrix product ranges.
• Our AmSkyTM platform eliminates PVC from blister packaging to transform the sustainability profile of healthcare packaging.
• Our partnership with Mars Food used our innovative HeatFlex packaging - a solution in the fast-growing microwavable pouch segment. Launched in early in 2021, it is the industry's first food-safe, fully-recyclable microwaveable pouch and represents significant progress toward more recyclable high-performance packaging.

These achievements are a result of our $100 million annual R&D spend as well as our expertise, global scale and close collaboration with our customers. This will be further increased as we add to our network of state-of-the-art innovation centers two new ones in Asia and Europe.

To continue delivering value and leadership across the industry, we also partnered with the Michigan State University School of Packaging to drive forward research and innovation in packaging sustainability and to power future talent in the industry.
