CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (AP) _ Amdocs Ltd. (DOX) on Wednesday reported fiscal second-quarter profit of $158.5 million.
On a per-share basis, the Chesterfield, Missouri-based company said it had net income of $1.28. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and stock option expense, came to $1.54 per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.24 per share.
The provider of computer systems integration posted revenue of $1.15 billion in the period.
For the current quarter ending in July, Amdocs expects its per-share earnings to range from $1.23 to $1.29.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $1.14 billion to $1.18 billion for the fiscal third quarter.
