Mexico City, April 20, 2022. América Móvil, S.A.B. de C.V. ("AMX") [BMV: AMX] [NYSE: AMX | AMOV], informs that today, its Brazilian subsidiary Claro S.A. ("Claro"), closed the acquisition of its portion of Grupo Oi's Brazilian assets pursuant to the purchase agreement entered between Grupo Oi, as seller, and Claro, Telefónica Brasil S.A. and TIM S.A., as purchasers.

Claro will pay R$3,572 milllion brazilian reais as total consideration for such acquisition. In addition, Claro has paid R$188 milllion brazilian reais for transition services to be provided by Grupo Oi to Claro during the following twelve months.

The transaction creates additional value for Claro, its clientes and its shareholders, through increased growth, generation of operating efficiencies and improvements in service quality.
