[NYSE: AMX | AMOV], announces that in the absence of an agreement between its subsidiary Teléfonos de México, S.A.B. de C.V. ("Telmex") and the labor union (Sindicato de Telefonistas de la República Mexicana), such union initiated today a strike in Telmex. Telmex and the union, with the mediation of the Ministry of Labor (Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social), are in dialogue to reach an agreement during the following hours. Telmex continues to provide services for the benefit of its clients.
