FORT WORTH, Texas ― Today, American Airlines published its 2019-2020 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, which outlines the airline's strategies and performance on its most material ESG issues, such as climate change, safety, and diversity and inclusion. The report announces American's goal to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050 and details the company's strategy and pathway to achieve this ambitious goal.

American's ESG Report takes the place of its annual Corporate Responsibility Report. It is the company's first report to align with the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board and the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, and it includes the results of a detailed analysis of the climate-related risks and opportunities facing the company.

American's 2019-2020 ESG report is available online. For more information on American's approach to ESG issues, visit aa.com/esg. The company's previous Corporate Responsibility Reports are archived on American's Newsroom.
