FORT WORTH, Texas - In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Month, American Airlines is featuring award-winning movies such as Parasite and Lion on its free inflight entertainment.


Customers can view the collection of 16 movies on the Asian Pacific Heritage channel and other May featured movie channels.

A few of the highlights include:

Lion (2016)

After getting lost on the streets of Calcutta, a boy is adopted by a couple in Australia. Now, 25 years later, he sets out to find his lost family.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2016)

The daughter of a Chinese aristocrat has a secret identity as a subversive outlaw who strikes at night with an array of martial arts skills.

Crazy Rich Asians (2018)

When Rachel Chu accompanies her boyfriend, Nick Young, to his friend's wedding in Singapore, she soon learns that Nick has been keeping secrets.

Searching (2018)

After a local investigation fails to find his missing teenage daughter, desperate father David decides to search the one place no one has looked.

Parasite (2019)

Greed and class discrimination threaten the newly formed symbiotic relationship between the wealthy Park family and the destitute Kim clan.

American works with its Employee Business Resource Groups - 20 groups made up of more than 26,000 American Airlines team members that represent different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences - to highlight movies that celebrate diversity across its inflight entertainment.

All inflight entertainment onboard American flights is free, including a library of up to 600 movies and TV shows. Customers can stream the free entertainment on their phone, tablet or laptop. Simply enable airplane mode and connect to the 'AA-Inflight' signal. From there, the entertainment can be accessed from the American Airlines app or aainflight.com.
