Talk to our crews at AEP upon returning from storm restoration work and you'll surely hear great stories of teamwork, perseverance and commitment.
Quite often, those stories speak to the tremendous satisfaction in knowing how those tireless efforts brought a neighborhood or community - or even an entire city - back on-line. And sometimes, they tell of the power in helping just the one.
These two short stories capture the experiences of Transmission Field Services East Line Manager John Rayburn and AEP Ohio Line Servicer Brandi Persch. Rayburn tells of how he and his team were a Christmas Day present to an elderly women in Ohio, and Persch emotionally recalls how an encounter in New Jersey was for her a "why I'm here" epiphany.
