AMETEK, Inc. announced the appointment of Daniel J. Skinner as Vice President and General Manager, AMETEK Process & Analytical Instruments (P&AI) division. Mr. Skinner currently serves as Divisional Vice President and Business Unit Manager for Energy & Process Instrumentation business. Dan will be replacing Jim Davis who will assume leadership of AMETEK's Measurement, Communications & Testing (MC&T) division. Mr. Skinner joined AMETEK in 1993 and served in a variety of technical and commercial roles before being appointed Business Manager of HDR Power Systems business in 2004. Dan was subsequently promoted to Business Unit Manager for Upstream Oil and Gas business, a role he held until expanding his responsibilities leading Energy & Process Instrumentation business in 2018. This leadership change with go into effect January 1, 2022, with Mr. Wilson remaining with AMETEK in a
consulting capacity until May 2022. The company also announced the appointment of Dr. Christoph Maetzig as Vice President and General Manager, AMETEK Ultra Precision Technologies division. Chris will be replacing Bruce Wilson, Senior Vice President, Ultra Precision Technologies division, who announced his intention to retire following his 22-year tenure with the company. Dr. Maetzig joined AMETEK in 2016 as Business Unit Manager for SPECTRO Analytical Instruments GmbH. Prior, he led various microscopy businesses at Leica Microsystems and worked for German technology group Heraeus as a Division Manager. This leadership change will go into effect January 1, 2022, with Mr. Wilson remaining with AMETEK in a consulting capacity until May 2022.
