Peach Aviation: New Tokyo (Narita) ~ Ishigaki Service.

Osaka- Today, Peach Aviation Limited ('Peach'; Representative Director and CEO: Shinichi Inoue) has started operating Flight MM 533 from Tokyo (Narita) to Ishigaki. This service will be the only direct flight between Narita International Airport and Ishigaki. There will be one roundtrip flight daily.

Vice President, Takeaki Mori, joined the flight attendants at Narita Airport to celebrate the first flight between Tokyo (Narita) and Ishigaki. Passengers were served pineapple juice from Ishigaki Islandand were greeted with a high-five as they boarded the plane.

At the ceremony to celeberate the first filght, Vice President Takeaki Mori commented, 'Thanks to all our passengers, the first flight is almost fully booked. This has reaffirmed my belief that Ishigaki is an attractive destination. As a 'flying train,' Peach will continue to actively expand the network from Narita Airport.'

With the addition of this service, Peach expands its service in and out of Narita Airport, the 'Gateway to the Greater Tokyo Area', operating 6 domestic and 2 international routes for a total of 8 routes. The number of routes Peach operates in and out of Narita International Airport will be the second largest following Kansai International Airport where Peach's corporate headquarters are located (operating 13 domestic and 6 international routes for a total of 19 routes).

Peach has already been operating flights between Osaka (Kansai) and Ishigaki since 2013. With the additional service, Peach can now offer flights to Ishigaki for people who live in the Greater Tokyo Area and the Kansai Region, as well as inbound passengers who use Narita and Kansai airports.

On Friday, November 11, 2019, Peach completed its integration with Vanilla Air, which had been based in Narita Airport, making it the third largest airline and the No.1 low-cost carrier in Japan* in terms of number of passengers carried each year. Going forward, Peach's goal is to support the comings and goings of many people as a convenient means of air travel, contribute to the revitalization of local communities, and become the leading low-cost carrier in Asia.
