LEUVEN, Belgium (AP) _ Anheuser Busch Inbev SA (BUD) on Thursday reported first-quarter net income of $595 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Leuven, Belgium-based company said it had net income of 30 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 51 cents per share.

The brewer posted revenue of $12.29 billion in the period.

Anheuser-Busch Inbev shares have risen slightly more than 6% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 79% in the last 12 months.
