The Board of Directors of Annum Berhad announced that AESB, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company had on 25 October 2021, entered into a collaboration agreement with GITSB for the sub-contract works in relation to the provision of supply, laying, testing and commissioning of the pipelines from Salim Water Treatment Plant, Sibu Water Board to Kanowit Sibu Division, proposed Durin booster station, proposed elevated tank at Bukong Jagoi junction, refurbishment of existing Kanowit Reservoir at Lipus Road junction, piling works and mechanical and electrical works ("Sub-Contract Works") for the Sarawak Water Supply Grid Program - Stressed Areas ("Project") ("Collaboration"). The Parties had entered into the Agreement to collaborate and undertake the Sub-Contract Works for the Project, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Agreement, of which the salient terms of the Agreement are set out in Section 3.2 of this announcement. Jabatan Bekalan Air Luar Bandar Sarawak ("JBALBS") had on 1 August 2019, issued a letter of acceptance to Saratech Sdn Bhd ("Saratech") to appoint Saratech as the main contractor for the Project with a contract value of approximately RM 63.52 million ("Letter of Award"). Pursuant to the Letter of Award, Saratech had on 28 August 2019, appointed GITSB as the sub-contractor for the Project and the JBALBS had on 30 August 2019, entered into an agreement with Saratech to formalise the appointment of Saratech as the main contractor for Project ("Contract Agreement").
