THANK YOU

To our employees, communities, and shareholders, we want to thank you . We appreciate you and are proud to have worked together during the past year to deliver clean, reliable energy to communities around the world .

OUR ROLE IN IMPROVING LIVES ACROSS THE WORLD

We take pride in our role in providing the critical infrastructure that links reliable, low-cost energy supply in Appalachia with global demand. According to the World Bank, 2.8 billion people are without access to clean cooking fuels and nearly 800 million people do not have electricity. Energy poverty has been a global problem

for centuries. As the fifth largest U.S. natural gas producer and the second largest U.S. Natural Gas Liquids ("NGLs") producer, Antero Resources (NYSE: AR) is directly supplying a portion of the energy needed to improve the health, safety and livelihood for people living in energy poverty.

GLOBAL IMPACT ON ENERGY POVERTY

Natural gas and natural gas liquids are affordable, accessible and safer to serve our most vulnerable populations across the world. As the least Greenhouse Gas ("GHG") intensive hydrocarbon, natural gas provides reliable electricity to homes, businesses, and industries around the world. Liquids-rich natural gas generates an added benefit in the form of NGLs. Ethane, propane and butane

  • a few examples of NGLs - are used as feedstocks for petrochemical plants to produce health care products and recyclable food packaging, among many other industrial purposes. Liquid

Petroleum Gas ("LPG"), typically 75% propane and 25% butane, is the fuel of choice in the developing world as it's safer and cleaner than coal or biomass and does not require extensive infrastructure or pipelines.

In 2021, approximately 7 million barrels, or 1/3 of Antero's LPG exports were shipped to developing countries. These LPG exports have supplied cleaner energy to households in developing countries for heating, cooking and aiding in the transition from solid fuels and kerosene to lower GHG intensive sources.
