APA has today disclosed a payroll error to the Fair Work Ombudsman, which saw 160 current and former employees covered by the South East and North West Transmission Enterprise Agreements (EA), not receive correct payments for on-call allowances for public holidays.

APA is in the process of fully remediating this error with backpayments totalling a combined $373,383, inclusive of interest, currently being made to affected current and former employees.

"We are very sorry for the error and sincerely apologise to the current and former employees who were affected by this error. APA is currently in the process of fully remediating all current and former employees who were affected by this regrettable error and measures have been implemented to prevent any future recurrence of this issue," an APA spokesperson said.

"APA is also now proactively conducting a full payroll review across all seven of its enterprise agreements to ensure the robustness and accuracy of payments."
