Apex Healthcare Berhad reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2016. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of MYR 146,685,000 compared to MYR 124,279,000 a year ago. Profit before taxation was MYR 12,313,000 compared to MYR 9,076,000 a year ago. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent was MYR 9,649,000 or 8.24 sen per basic and diluted share compared to MYR 6,603,000 or 5.64 sen per basic and diluted share a year ago.
For the six months, the company reported revenue of MYR 294,163,000 compared to MYR 264,343,000 a year ago. Profit before taxation was MYR 24,679,000 compared to MYR 20,956,000 a year ago. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent was MYR 19,462,000 or 16.61 sen per basic and diluted share compared to MYR 20,956,000 or 12.85 sen per basic and diluted share a year ago. Net cash flows from operating activities were MYR 13,340,000 compared to MYR 9,535,000 a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment & intangible assets was MYR 1,671,000 compared to MYR 2,402,000 a year ago.
