OQ SAOC is preparing to sell OQ Chemicals GmbH, targeting a valuation of over 2.5 billion ($2.63 billion), business daily Handelsblatt reported on May 17, 2022. The state-owned oil company of Oman will send information brochures about the business to potential investors in the coming days, the report said. Investment firms such as Apollo Global Management, Inc. (NYSE:APO), Bain Capital, LP, or Cinven Limited are considered potential buyers of the business.
