SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) _ AppFolio Inc. (APPF) on Thursday reported a loss of $4.2 million in its third quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Santa Barbara, California-based company said it had a loss of 12 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 11 cents per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 16 cents per share.

The property management software maker posted revenue of $125.1 million in the period.

AppFolio expects full-year revenue in the range of $462 million to $466 million.

AppFolio shares have decreased 12% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $106.32, a drop of 18% in the last 12 months.
