Apple is opening its first-ever stores in India in Mumbai and Delhi. As part of the opening, Apple CEO Tim Cook will visit the country and also meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Apple's store in Mumbai is located in the Jio World Mall, the Bandra Kurla Complex. Apple Saket in New Delhi its doors on April 20.

Tim Cook is also expected to hold talks with key ministers in India, on strategic issues such as expansion of manufacturing and exports.

Apple has also been actively recruiting in recent months in preparation for store openings.

The iPhone maker launched its online store in India back in 2020 and initially planned to open its first retail location in 2021, but that did not work out because of COVID.
