AptarGroup, Inc. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was USD 811.032 million compared to USD 699.305 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 84.403 million compared to USD 70.478 million a year ago. Net income was USD 55.276 million compared to USD 41.839 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.84 compared to USD 0.65 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.81 compared to USD 0.63 a year ago. For the half year, sales was USD 1,587.786 million compared to USD 1,420.858 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 176.994 million compared to USD 158.938 million a year ago. Net income was USD 139.228 million compared to USD 97.092 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 2.12 compared to USD 1.51 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 2.05 compared to USD 1.47 a year ago.
AptarGroup, Inc. is engaged in designing and manufacturing of drug and consumer product dosing, dispensing and protection technologies. The Company serves various end markets, including pharmaceutical, beauty, food, beverage, personal care and home care. The Company operates through three segments: Aptar Pharma, Aptar Beauty and Aptar Closures. Aptar Pharma segment supplies nasal drug delivery spray pumps and metered dose inhaler valves (MDIs) to the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets worldwide and supplies elastomer for injectable primary packaging components worldwide. The segment also provides services designed to accelerate and de-risk the development and regulatory approvals of drugs using drug delivery devices. The Aptar Beauty segment sells a variety of pumps, airless systems and valves to the fragrance, color cosmetics, facial skincare, personal care and home care markets. Aptar Closures segment primarily sells dispensing closures.
