PHILADELPHIA (AP) _ Aramark Holdings Corp. (ARMK) on Tuesday reported a fiscal fourth-quarter loss of $148.6 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Philadelphia-based company said it had a loss of 59 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for amortization costs and severance costs, came to 35 cents per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 31 cents per share.

The provider of food, facilities and uniform services posted revenue of $2.69 billion in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.68 billion.

For the year, the company reported a loss of $461.5 million, or $1.83 per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $12.83 billion.

Aramark shares have decreased 19% since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 19% in the last 12 months.
