Aramex has appointed Othman Aljeda as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, replacing Bashar Obeid who submitted his resignation to the Board on April 29. Obeid will work closely with Aljeda to support a smooth transition of responsibilities. Aljeda joined Aramex 1994, and over the last two decades, he has stepped up in several leadership roles to strengthen the Company's business in the GCC, Asia, and North America & Europe. From 2007 to 2017, Aljeda set up Aramex's first regional office in Asia and spearheaded its expansion plans in the region, establishing major hubs in Hong Kong and Singapore.
