Argosy Minerals Limited advise further progress at the Rincon Lithium Project, located in Salta Province, Argentina, with 33% of the total works now completed for the development of the modular 2,000tpa lithium carbonate production operation. The 2,000tpa production operation major works comprise three main phases of works, comprising design, construction and commissioning. The design phase is 94% completed, the construction phase is at 34% completion, whilst plant commissioning works (comprising raw materials acquisition and tender works) are 7% complete. The brine system works, comprising brine production wells, pumping stations and associated piping, and plant settling ponds, are also progressing toward completion. Further, the major next stage works will focus on plant equipment sourcing and plant warehouse constructions works over coming months. Site works will considerably increase during this time, which will confirm major progress and significant advancement at the project. The construction phase of works is scheduled for completion during Q1, 2022, with plant commissioning works, test-works and ramp-up to follow immediately thereafter. The company is progressing toward successfully developing the modular 2,000tpa operation and become a commercial battery quality Li2CO3 producer.
