SYDNEY--Aristocrat Leisure Ltd., the Australia-based slots maker and software developer, said it will suspend its mobile games in Russia following that country's invasion of Ukraine.

Aristocrat said operating in Russia is currently not viable. It said Russia usually makes up about 3% of its mobile-games business, and that it is exploring strategic options for its Russia-based employees.

Meanwhile, Aristocrat said it has helped more than two-thirds of its Ukraine-based employees to relocate, either internationally or to safer locations within the country. Aristocrat's Pixel United mobile-games business usually has about 1,000 employees in Ukraine.

A new office is planned in Wroclaw, Poland, adding to existing Polish operations, the company said.

"We will continue to closely monitor impacts given the fluid situation, and provide an update at Aristocrat's half year financial results in May," the company said.
