Arkema S.A. (ENXTPA:AKE) agreed to acquire Permoseal (Pty) Ltd on December 16, 2021. This project, which is subject to approval by antitrust authorities, should be finalized in second-quarter of 2022. Permoseal has a strong presence in South Africa's retail channels and generated sales of €43 million in 2021

Arkema is one of the world's leaders in the development, manufacturing and marketing of chemical products. Net sales break down by family of products as follows: - advanced materials (37.4%): high performance polymers, specialty surfactants, molecular sieves, organic peroxides, oxygenates, etc.; - adhesives (28.5%): sealants, adhesives for floors and tiles, waterproofing products, etc.; - coating solutions (25.3%): resins, emulsions for adhesives, surface coating products, absorbents, etc.; - intermediate products (8.4%): thermoplastic polymers (PMMA), acrylic products, fluorinated gases, etc.; - other (0.4%). At the end of 2023, the group had 148 production sites worldwide. Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: France (7.8%), Europe (26.6%), United States-Canada-Mexico (36.5%), China (11%), Asia (12.6%) and others (5.5% ).
