1. Represents the number of shares withheld by the Issuer to satisfy the Reporting Person's tax obligations incurred upon the vesting of certain restricted stock units granted to the Reporting Person under the 2011 Long-Term Incentive Plan and previously disclosed by the Reporting Person on Table II on April 13, 2016.
2. This report on Form 4/A amends the Form 4 filed by the reporting person on April 14, 2020 (and subsequently filed Form 4s through the date hereof) solely to correct the 'amount of securities beneficially owned following reported transaction' on Table I, column 5, which was inadvertently understated by 4,513 shares.

Armstrong World Industries, Inc. designs, innovates, and manufactures ceiling and wall system solutions in the Americas. The Company manufactures and sources products made of numerous materials, including mineral fiber, fiberglass wool, metal, wood, wood fiber, glass-reinforced-gypsum and felt. It also manufactures ceiling suspension system (grid) products. Its Mineral Fiber segment produces suspended mineral fiber and soft fiber ceiling systems. Its products offer various performance attributes, such as acoustical control, rated fire protection, and energy efficiency. Its Architectural Specialties segment produces, designs and sources ceilings, walls and facades for use in commercial settings. Products are available in metal, felt and wood, in addition to various colors, shapes and designs. It sells standard, premium and customized products. Architectural Specialties products are sold primarily to resale distributors and direct customers, primarily ceiling systems contractors.
