Tallink is starting a summer recruitment campaign for Estonian-flagged vessels Tue, 21 Jun 2022 10:30:00 +0300

Tallink is starting a recruitment campaign to recruit 50 customer service professionals and 20 chefs for Estonian-flagged vessels for the summer.

As part of the campaign, Tallink will organise an open day on the Tallinn-Stockholm passenger ship Baltic Queen on Tuesday, 28 June, where it will be possible to get acquainted with the ship's kitchens and restaurants and form a better overview of the jobs on offer.

"Our usual summer high season started in June, this year there are no similar obstacles to travel restrictions at the beginning of the season, the desire to travel has only grown in recent years and all indications show that summer will be busy," said Age Vanajuur, Head of Group Employee Engagement & Customer Experience on the need for additional staff.

The increase in the number of passengers and the summer travel crowd also means a significantly increased need for the company to have professional, experienced and willing employees who want to earn money and also relax in the summer.

"Most shore-based jobs do not allow you to earn a monthly salary in two weeks and also leave enough time to enjoy your freedom in the summer or why not all year round. Working on Tallink's ships makes that possible thanks to the 2 weeks of work - 2 weeks off work schedule," said Vanajuur.

In addition to a work schedule that allows for other activities for half a year, Tallink offers ship employees accommodation, meals and other company benefits, with unlimited opportunities to enjoy the wonderful views of the Baltic Sea and a great international team.

"Our quick campaign this time focuses specifically on recruiting customer service staff with previous restaurant experience and experienced chefs, who are very much looking forward to joining our fierce crew. For all suitable candidates who send us their CV and application before the end of June, we offer the opportunity to start work already in July. Our recruiters are ready and waiting for your calls!" added Vanajuur.
