Ashland Global Holdings Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended March 31, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was USD 604 million compared to USD 509 million a year ago. Net income was USD 786 million compared to USD 41 million a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.66 compared to USD 0.4 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was USD 13.69 compared to USD 0.67 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was USD 1,115 million compared to USD 977 million a year ago. Net income was USD 834 million compared to USD 97 million a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.2 compared to USD 1.1 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was USD 14.45 compared to USD 1.57 a year ago.

The Company serves customers in a wide range of consumer and industrial markets, including architectural coatings, construction, energy, food and beverage, nutraceuticals, personal care, and pharmaceutical. The life sciences segment is comprised of pharmaceuticals, nutrition, nutraceuticals, agricultural chemicals, diagnostic films and fine chemicals. The specialty additives segment is comprised of rheology and additives serving the architectural coatings, construction, energy, automotive and various industrial markets. Its Intermediates segment is comprised of the production of 1,4 butanediol (BDO) and related derivatives, including n-methyl pyrrolidone.
