Intended appointment of Ewout Hollegien as member of the Executive Board and CFO of a.s.r.

The Supervisory Board of a.s.r. intends to appoint Ewout Hollegien as a member of the Executive Board and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of a.s.r.

Ewout Hollegien (36) has worked at a.s.r. since 2007. After his traineeship, he began his career in Group Risk Management and Asset Management, following which Ewout Hollegien had a key role in preparing for a.s.r.'s IPO in 2016 and was involved in the implementation of Solvency II. Subsequently, as Manager of Corporate Development, he led, among others, the successful acquisition of Generali Nederland and Loyalis. After joining the Income MT in September 2019, Ewout Hollegien has been Director Income at a.s.r. since April 2020.

The appointment of Ewout Hollegien is subject to approval by the regulator, DNB. a.s.r.'s Works Council has issued a positive advice. The appointment will be submitted for discussion to an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders (EGM). This will take place on Tuesday, 30 November 2021, after which the Supervisory Board intends to proceed with the appointment. The convocation for the EGM will be published on Monday, 18 October 2021.

With the proposed appointment of Ewout Hollegien, after the EGM the Executive Board will consist of Jos Baeten (CEO), Ingrid de Swart (COO/CTO) and Ewout Hollegien (CFO).
