ROCHESTER, Min. - March 11, 2022 - Thomas Torkelson has joined Associated Bank as vice president, commercial relationship manager, for the Rochester and Red Wing markets. He is responsible for building a portfolio of loans and deposits, as well as working with internal bank partners to help customers with their banking needs.

Torkelson brings nearly 20 years of banking experience to Associated Bank. Previously, he held the position of business relationship manager at Altra Federal Credit Union where he helped open the Rochester market and was responsible for successfully growing the loan and deposit portfolio. Before that, he was with Associated Bank for nearly 10 years holding various positions in business banking. Torkelson served in the United States Army for four years and was later called back to serve in the Gulf War.

Torkelson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in organization management and communications from Concordia University. In the community, he is active with the Rochester Chamber of Commerce, Sertoma 700 Club and Gift of Life Transplant House.

He is located at 206 S. Broadway, Rochester.
