--Associated British Foods PLC's clothing business Primark has turned down a bonus the government is offering for returning furloughed staff to work amid the coronavirus crisis, the Financial Times reports.

--The retailer said in a statement that the bonus "should not be necessary," according to the FT.

--The scheme offers 1,000 pounds ($1,262) for each furloughed worker brought back to work, and Primark would have been eligible to receive about GBP30 million, the FT reports.
