First phase City Docks - Elderly home

ATENOR informs you that the company Senior Island (100 % subsidiary of ATENOR) has signed an agreement with Home Sebrechts NV (subsidiary of Armonea) to run a 180-bed elderly home on the City Docks site (5.4 ha) in the canal zone in Anderlecht.

Armonea is the biggest independent provider of care services for the elderly in Belgium, with 80 elderly homes, assisted flats and assisted residences distributed all over the country.

In the meantime, an agreement has been signed between ATENOR and a Belgian institutional investor for the sale of 100% of the shares of the company Senior Island, the developer of the elderly home. This transaction has enabled ATENOR to raise its latest result forecast by announcing a 2015 result probably at least 15% higher than its 2014 result.

Finally, a collaboration agreement has been signed between Home Sebrechts NV and Rest Island, another 100% ATENOR subsidiary, to provide services to the 71 assisted flats attached to the elderly home.

Works on the two buildings are scheduled to start next year with provisional acceptance scheduled for 2018.

These transactions are part of the commercialisation of phase one of the City Docks development. The building and environmental permit were granted on 10 August 2015 for the construction of ±40,000 m², including a 180-bed elderly home, a 71-flat assisted residence, a housing block of 93 apartments and an integrated business services building of 8,619 m².

In the meantime, the process has been started for the commercialisation of the remaining part of phase one and the further development of City Docks, including the realisation of the Citydev.brussels project. As we said in a previous statement, Citydev.brussels awarded ATENOR the development contract for 16,393m² of residential including 12,471 m² of subsidised housing.
