Atos reported a further decline in its operating loss for the first six months of the year on Thursday, weighed down by an impairment charge and weak demand for its two core businesses in the Americas and Europe.

In the first half, Atos posted an operating loss of 1.70 billion euros, compared with a loss of 434 million euros over the same period in 2023.

At the end of June, the company, which is in the midst of a financial restructuring, posted net debt of 4.22 billion euros, compared with 2.32 billion euros in 2023.

"We now have an agreement with our financial creditors, providing us with sufficient liquidity to operate the group and giving us a solid foundation for the future," said Jean-Pierre Mustier, the group's chairman and CEO, in a statement.
