ANZ Appoints Mark Harding as Global Head of Financial Institutions Group

ANZ has said that it has appointed Mark Harding as global head of Financial Institutions Group (FIG), effective December 13, 2021. In his new role, Harding will be responsible for leading the bank's Financial Institutions client segment globally, which covers banks, funds, diversified financials, insurance companies and government entities. He will continue to be based in Singapore and will report to Simon Ireland, managing director, International. Harding succeeds Ireland who was recently appointed as managing director, International. Hardin, who joined ANZ in 2008, has since held leadership roles in Melbourne, Sydney and Singapore, most recently as head of FIG, South East Asia, India and Middle East. During his career, he has also held roles at RBS and Fortis Bank in London.
