Australian Mines Limited confirmed it has commenced bench-scale production of cathode precursor materials for Nickel- Cobalt-Manganese (NCM) style batteries, widely used in the electric vehicle (EV) industry. Australian Mines' ability to produce NCM cathode precursor materials is an important step in the Company realising additional value for shareholders by operating throughout the EV battery value chain. The Company has already established its potential to be a globally significant technology metals supplier by successfully producing battery ready cobalt sulphate and nickel sulphate crystals from its 100% owned Sconi project. NCM cathode technology is being widely used by major automotive brands including Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Renault, Nissan and Volkswagen to create batteries for electric vehicles. The production of NCM cathode precursor materials by Australian Mines demonstrates the Company's ability to move further down the EV value chain to meet customers' needs and create value for shareholders, while also supporting negotiations with potential offtake and financing partners.
